In 2013 we were awarded another grant to purchase PPE and Training Material.

The generator in which we received the grant for has been installed. The purchase of the generator was made from a local company Carotron. Thanks to them for the patience they showed during the process and great customer service they provided during and after the installation.

Elgin VFD has recently been awarded a Federal Grant for the purchase of a generator. This will enable the department to establish itself as an emergency shelter if needed as well as remain operationl during storms or other disasters and remain fully functional as the department also has an inhouse cascade to refill SCBA cylinders. More about this as future information becomes available.
